The Canadian Arctic Expedition of 1913
Presented by Caroline Preston
The last presentation of the Fall season will feature Caroline Preston telling us about the little known Canadian Arctic Expedition of 1913 to 1916, the first efforts to explore and map new islands that were thought to exist in the Arctic.
Each Speakers' Series event is preceded by a special buffet prepared by our Chef and his staff and is served at 18:00.
The dishes Chef prepares are often inspired by the topic of the talk. In the past we’ve dined in style on French, Mexican, Russian, British, and Thai cuisines, just to mention a few.
Contact the staff at the club to book seats for the Buffet.
Starting at 19:15, we are treated to an illustrated talk by SNSYC members or presenters from the wider community.
The presentations deal with such things as sailing exploits, travelling on foot and by bicycle in foreign lands, cruising on ships and canal boats, environmental issues and much more.
