Volunteer Work Party

On Saturday, April 28 at 1000hrs we'll be running our next Volunteer Work Party. That’s a week before Opening Day so there will be lots of work to do to get the clubhouse, grounds, and dock in shipshape condition.  Naturally, we’ll need all of the help we can get! And, of course, we'll be providing lunch as usual.  So, if you can spare a couple of hours on the 28th that'd be great!  If you want more information don't hesitate to contact Adrian at volunteer@SNSYC.ca .

Here's a list of the things that need to be accomplished:

• 1.     Pressure was main deck and top of handrails as needed.
• 2.     Clean and paint flashing above the eavestroughs on main and lounge entrances.
• 3.     Sweep up debris on roof above the bar.
• 4.     Scrub keelboat decks (they’re covered in pollen).
• 5.     Clean up Junior Room.
• 6.     Wash windows, inside and out.
• 7.     Dust horizontal surfaces in the dining area, bar and entrance way.
• 8.     Swat the cobwebs around the ceilings.
• 9.     Polish brass around the bar.
• 10.  Sweep floor under the tent deck.
• 11.  Weed gardens along the driveway.
• 12.  Weed the garden hump south of the clubhouse and adjacent to the driveway.
• 13.  Wipe down the wood on the staircase and the bannisters.
• 14.  Wipe down the easy chairs in the bar area.
• 15.  Clean out the fireplace if needed.
• 16.  Remove rusty staples from the underside of the porte coucher on the water side of the dining room doors.
