SNSYC JUNIOR SAILING PROGRAM PARTNERS WITH BC AMATEUR SPORT FUND
The SNSYC Junior Sailing Program raises funds in support of initiatives to reach more young people and introduce them to the lifelong sport of sailing. Funds will be used for equipment replacement (coach boats, dinghies) as well as ongoing expenses (boat maintenance and repairs, instructor salaries, student materials, regatta travel). Costs are rising, government grant support is decreasing, and the Club’s equipment needs to be replaced regularly as it wears out.
Your gift can help us continue to offer the programs we do for our juniors. SNSYC has partnered with the BC Amateur Sport Fund on this fundraising initiative. The BC Amateur Sport Fund is the BC chapter of the Canadian Council of Provincial & Territorial Sport Federations, a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association with charitable status and you may receive a tax receipt for your donation. Your gift to the Fund benefiting our project will allow SNSYC to introduce young people to the lifelong sport of sailing and teach critical skills to make it safe and fun, as well as introduce youth to competition at the regional level.
From time to time special initiatives will be undertaken (such as the recent purchase of a new coach boat) and your donations will enable these to be completed. You can request to have your gift used for a specific purpose by contacting the club manager at manager@snsyc.ca
